Khulisa among the first recipients of funding from the Mayor’s Young Londoners Fund.

By investing in projects, and young people, that are dedicated to giving young Londoners an opportunity to get involved in positive activities, we can work to help every child and teenager at risk off the streets, and away from the dangers of crime. The projects we’ve invested in are already making a difference to young people in London and this next phase of the £45m programme, backed up by £2.6m of City Hall investment, will help provide valuable life opportunities for almost 10,000 young Londoners. - Sadiq Khan, Mayor of London

The Mayor created the Young Londoners Fund to help give young people the support they need to build a
better future and avoid getting caught up in crime. The fund will see £30m made available for projects in local communities. The remaining £15m will be invested to expand existing projects funded by City Hall that support young Londoners.

We are delighted be one of the first awardees to receive a multi-year grant from the Mayor’s Young Londoners Fund to expand the delivery of our ‘Face It’ programme to support young people at risk of violence and crime. Projects that have received this funding include everything from theatre groups and employability training, to football clubs and art sessions.

This support comes at a critical time for Khulisa as we reach the half-way point of our 2017-2020 strategy and we are so grateful for the belief of the Mayor’s Office for Policing and Crime in our vision to empower young people to live healthy, crime free lives.
