Khulisa’s response to the Justice Select Committee inquiry into children & young people in custody

This month Khulisa submitted a written response to the Justice Select Committee’s call for evidence inquiry into children and young people in custody. Our evidence focused on the experiences and needs of the youth justice population and the suitability of the existing system. Our response makes the case for a trauma-informed custodial estate which prioritises the well-being of both professionals & the young people in the custodial estate.
