We’re thrilled to shine a spotlight on one of Khulisa’s exceptional Young Influencers, Callum, whose dedication to advocacy and academic excellence is already opening exciting doors for his future.
Earlier this month, Callum was offered a place on a Summer School Programme at the University of Oxford. He will join fellow high-achieving students in experiencing university life first-hand, expanding his academic horizons and exploring future pathways in higher education.
Adding to this incredible achievement, Callum has also been selected for the Dresden Trust Scholarship – a highly competitive award that offers a four-week immersive cultural and academic experience in Dresden, Germany. While the trust only awarded scholarships to A-Level or equivalent students, the Trust recognised Callum’s potential and awarded him a guaranteed place for 2026, during his Year 12 German studies.
As one of our Young Influencers, Callum has played a vital role in informing our work and supporting our recruitment processes, ensuring that young people’s voices are embedded at the heart of everything we do. He also represents Clwyd West in the Welsh Youth Parliament, where he actively advocates for the rights and needs of young people in his constituency, and is also collaborating with his local Mind charity to co-develop “Youth Changemakers” – a new initiative that places young people at the centre of mental health service design and delivery.
Alongside completing 11 GCSEs, he has already begun studying Philosophy, Religion and Ethics at AS-level, and next year will begin A-Levels in Maths, Economics, and German. His long-term aspiration is to study Philosophy, Politics and Economics (PPE) at the University of Oxford.
At Khulisa, we believe in the power of youth voice and the importance of supporting young people to lead from the front. Congratulations, Callum – we’re incredibly proud to be part of your journey, and we can’t wait to see what the future holds!
